In the article, "Should Everyone Get a Trophy?" by Lauren Tarshis, she talked about how kids get a trophy just for showing up to team practices. Our school system decided more than a decade ago to pass kids on to the next grade regardless of how successful they were on their report card.
Do you think kids should fail?

I think that kids should be held back and this is why. If you're unable to read you should not be able to continue on. When the student does not pay any attention without asking what they're doing. Last but not least if the student does not attempt to do the work and gets others to do it for them. now to go into the deeps of explaining these great ideas of mine by Max Ryan.

If you're unable to read how are you going to get to work need done. The student will be unable to understand what it is that he/she is need to perform. Most jobs need he/she to read to understand “what is to be or not to be” shakespeare. I not done he/she will get fired form such job. The work needed to be done upon high school is needed to be able to read to acquire the “republic credits” star wars to complete high school.

When you stare at the window for the entire class time they won’t understand they'll be one step behind the group they won’t get to see the cool fishes. When they do get caught up they might not do the work and might just disrupt the group instead of do the work. Some students don't do the work they just sew around and handicap some other kids from doing the work. Leaving them from finishing in the restricted time limit.

When you're in the middle of doing work right s bout to get an answer or in the middle of a sentence, then you get hit with a bit of eraser or a marker or pen or pencil. Some students do this. This is just the tip of the iceberg, some make little contraptions or talk all the time. When you throw back or talk you get in trouble. If a student is disrupting all the time and keeping other kids from completing the mission of wright on paper. They will be unable to complete a test, they will ask others for the answers.

Those are my reasons to hold them. The student will have a hard time doing work if they can't read. No matter how poor they are they should be able to pay attention. Disrupting the class and aegean not paying attention is horrible your handicapping other and your self from doing the work and getting a good grade. thats my recap on what my three paragraphs before this one. and why I believe some students should be held back.
